The dye garden is poppin’ thanks to all the rain we’ve gotten this year. I’m drying my dahlias, safflower and tango cosmos for later, and extracting/dying with fresh rosemary and thyme now. Here are the beginnings of rosemary bandanas mordanted with aluminum triformate:

And lastly, a peek at a quilt I started in 2021— and have spent over eighty hours {here and there} sewing so far.

It’s an original improv design, pieced with a ton of vintage Kantha quilts and Belgian linen. Hubba hubba. The flip side is mainly comprised of a single piece of drop cloth studio fabric. It’s got a lottttt going on and yet has a simplicity to it, which I love… so does Poppy. Every time I put it down that little scamp hides in it as fast as she can. I’m hoping to have it finished and available well in time for the holidays.
