Congratulations to these lovebirds, Ash + Brandon, on tying the knot à la the dreamiest elopement EVER 🫶🏻

They’re making me want to marry my husband all over again— but just like this 🙌🏻 For realsies.

Those very ribbons in the making ↓

Speaking of The Sweetzer Life— we need a moment of appreciation for this PRE Easter set up as well. Can you even imagine what the main event looked like?! So much goodness all in one place.

{and I was super jazzed when I saw the napkins I’d dyed as part of the spread}

Tiffany and I are hosting our first joint workshop this summer, and to put it mildly— I am psyched. We’ll be demonstrating some of our favorite arranging and dyeing techniques, and assist you as you create your own bespoke pieces to keep.

We’re still in planning mode, but we’re thinking June.

We’ll drop more info on Instagram, but I’ll also dust off the old mailing list and give first dibs as a thank you to all who have signed up. {If you haven’t signed up, that was your hint that maybe now’s the time}.

I think I’ve sent about three in three years. Possibly only two.

😬

Student Work |

Bandanas by two students, ages four and five.

Acrylic Paint x Sumi Ink

They handled the marbling and their signatures— and because I couldn’t help myself, I backed their pieces with some experimentally dyed scraps for a fun surprise.

Here’s me taking a few passes on the tray after they’d finished:

Dye Garden |

Harvesting and extracting color from fresh and dried batches of Calendula and Marigold.

This beauty right here was April’s jewel in the crown. A little painterly union suit fit for a 3 month old, and I wish it were mine.

Hand dyed in no less than six separate layers of color and painted over. A total labor of love {and also possibly a weird business move to spend so much time on something that surely won’t bring in the “appropriate” amount of $$$} 🤷‍♀️ I just love painting baby and kids clothing, even though I sell them for a song.

It's available, and will be listed with other “baby bundle” items once they all feel ✨ ready ✨.

In other studio news, I’m happily (and quietly) working on a lot of pieces— going at my own pace, picking up whatever makes me happy in the moment. It feels very organic, even if it’s less efficient than the schedule I used to keep.
